South Africa have drawn parity in the five-match T20I series by winning the second match comprehensively by 51 runs in Mullanpur. The series stands level at 1-1 with the third game set to take place on Sunday in Dharamsala.
Chasing 214 runs, India were bundled out for 162 runs in 19.1 overs with Tilak Varma emerging as the highest scorer with 62 runs. The chase seemed to be too high for India as they could not control the continuous flow of wickets which dented their proceedings. Apart from Tilak, Jitesh Sharma scored 27 runs while Hardik Pandya contributed 20 runs.
For the Proteas, Ottneil Baartman proved to be the star bowler with four wickets while Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen also claimed two wickets apiece. The third match of the series will take place on Sunday in Dharamsala.
