New Delhi: In a high-tension game, India again defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 14. After building a young side, Pakistan wrote the same old story and knelt in front of the Men in Blue.

After winning the game, Indian players walked off the field without a customary handshake with the Pakistan side. Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube also skipped the handshake with the match officials.

It was a deliberate move from the Indian side, as Surya didn't shake hands with Pakistan's skipper Salman Ali Agha during the toss. Men in Blue also shut the doors of the dressing room after the game.

It was a statement from the Indian team to back their armed forces following the Pahalgam terror attack early this year.

After India snubbed a handshake and shut the dressing room door, Pakistan's captain skipped the post-match ceremony after the loss. It was obvious that the Pakistan team were not happy with India's action on the field.

In the context of the match, Surya was the highest scorer in the game as India chased down the score comfortably in 15.5 overs. Men in Blue skipper scored an unbeaten 47 runs in 37 deliveries.

Abhishek Sharma utilised the powerplay and scored 31 runs off just 13 deliveries to give India a flyer start. Saim Ayub was the most successful bowler from Pakistan's side as he picked up three wickets in the second innings.

India's lethal bowling attack bundled out the Men in Green for just 127 runs in 20 overs. No batter from the top order crossed the 120 strike rate, and with the help of Shaheen Afridi's quick, unbeaten 33 in just 16 balls, crossed the 100-run mark in a high-octane game.

India became the first team to qualify for the Super 4 after winning two games in a row in the group stage.
