New Delhi: Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan took a jibe at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi after Pakistan lost another game against India in a one-sided affair. Imran mockingly suggested that Naqvi has to bat as an opener in Pakistan's jersey to win a cricket match against India.
Imran also mocked Army Chief General Asim Munir for batting alongside Naqvi, as these openers can pull out the game against India any day. Pakistan lost two games against India in the ongoing Asia Cup.
Imran's sister, Aleema Khan, spoke to the reporter and stated that Imran proposed a way for Pakistan to emerge victorious against India. Imran also added that Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja will be the umpires of the game.
Aleema also included Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar to serve as the third umpire. Aleema informed her brother about the two losses against India in the Asia Cup 2025.
Imran, who is the only Pakistan skipper to lift the ODI World Cup, targeted Naqvi for the failure of the Pakistan team as the chairman brought 'incompetence' and 'nepotism' to the cricket board.
India emerged victorious against Pakistan one more time in the ongoing Asia Cup as they defeated the Men in Green by six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 21.
India invited Pakistan to bat first, and the Men in Green posted 172 runs in 20 overs. In response, Abhishek Sharma's and Shubhman Gill's aggressive knocks helped their side to cross the line with seven balls to spare.
After the victory, the Indian players again refused to shake hands with Pakistan's players. But this time, Salman Ali Agha was present at the post-match presentation.
