New Delhi: South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton De Kock entered record books by smashing his 23rd century in the ODI format. Quinton was on a roll during the third and final game against India as he reached to his milestone hundred with a big six on the 80th delivery after the visitors were put into bat first in the series finale by India.
By virtue of his 23rd century in ODIs, Quinton entered the record books as he joined Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara to have the joint-most hundreds as a wicketkeeper in cricketing history. The elite list also has one Indian wicketkeeper in form of MS Dhoni who scored 10 centuries and holds the record jointly with South Africa AB de Villiers.

The South Africa batter also registered another feat to his name with his hundred as he now has the most number of ODI centuries (7) vs India. Quinton holds the record jointly with Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya who also has as many hundreds against the Men in Blue.

The South African player however could not take his innings forward as he succumbed for 106 runs off 89 balls on a delivery bowled by Prasidh Krishna. Quinton also achieved a few other milestones with his 23rd century.
