Revealed! India's travelling schedule for the white-ball tour of Australia

Former skippers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with new vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, are likely to join the rest of the Test squad members, involved in the West Indies series, in the national capital ahead of the team's departure.

New Delhi: The travel date and schedule of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming white-ball series in Australia. The Indian squad will leave for Australia in two batches on October 15 from Delhi. The final travel schedule will be determined according to the logistics and ticket availability.

India are travelling Down Under in a three-match ODI series, followed by a five-match T20I contest.

As per the sources in BCCI, while one batch will leave in the morning, the second set of players is set to fly out later in the evening. Again, the travel schedule will depend on the availability of business class tickets for the long-haul flight.

Former skippers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with new vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, are likely to join the rest of the Test squad members, involved in the West Indies series, in the national capital ahead of the team’s departure.

"Virat and Rohit will touch down in the capital either on the day of departure or a day prior," a source privy to the matter told PTI.

India to fly to Perth from Delhi

The team will fly to Perth, the venue of the first ODI against Australia on October 19.

There is a possibility that players who will feature in the ODI squad could be given a short break to visit their respective homes before regrouping in Delhi if the ongoing domestic or international assignments conclude early.

India will take on West Indies in the second Test in New Delhi starting on October 10.

The ODI team will fly to Australia under the leadership of new captain Shubman Gill, who has taken over the reins from Rohit Sharma. Both Rohit and Kohli are part of the ODI team amidst uncertainty surrounding their international future. It is that both veteran players have expressed their desire to continue until the 2027 ODI World Cup.
