New Delhi: In his comeback match for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, run-machine Virat Kohli scripted yet another milestone on Wednesday. Kohli became only the second Indian player after legendary Sachin Tendulkar to complete 16000 run-mark in List A cricket after scoring one run during the chase against Andhra Pradesh.
Kohli also surpassed Tendulkar by becoming the fastest batter to score 16000 runs in men's List A cricket. The legendary Tendulkar had achieved the landmark in 391 innings while Kohli completed the feat in 330 innings. He has now become the fastest player to cross 10 thousand, 11 thousand, 12 thousand, 13 thousand, 14 thousand, 15 thousand, and 16 thousand run-mark.
In Delhi's first match of the premier competition in Bengaluru, Kohli was just a run away from completing the milestone and after Andhra score 298/8 in the stipulated 50 overs paving way for Kohli to bat in the tournament after a gap of 15 years, he registered yet another feat entering the record books.
Kohli, who is in a superb form in the 50-over format, last played the tournament during the 2009-10 edition, which made his return even more special.

This edition of India's most premier domestic tournament witnessed the inclusion of some star Indian players, with Kohli and Rohit Sharma highlighting their respective encounters. While Kohli was looking fabulous in his innings, moving towards a half-century at the time of filing this report, another veteran Rohit sizzled with the bat for Mumbai.
Mumbai are laying Sikkim in their Group C encounter in Jaipur and after Sikkim scored 236 for 7 in the stipulated 50 overs, Rohit along with Angkrish Raghuvanshi made a superb start in the chase. Rohit completed his fifty in just 28 balls taking his side Mumbai towards the target in a swift manner.
At the time of writing this report, the veteran Indian player had scored 84 runs off 50 balls including 8 boundaries and 6 sixes in what became a memorable outing at the premier competition after a gap of more than 7 years. Rohit has already smashed a century in the VHT and will be eyeing another hundred.
