Meanwhile in the Test series between the two teams, South Africa have managed a 1-0 lead in the series after winning the first Test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last week and look poised to clinch the 2-match series 2-0 after maintaining dominance over the Indian side on the fourth day of play in Guwahati on Tuesday.
South Africa gave a target of 549 runs for India to chase and when stumps were called on the second last day, India were at 27/2 still requiring 522 runs to win the match. With just 8 wickets in hand, a chase looks impossible and so looks the possibility of a draw as India will have to hold the fort for three full sessions which is a very tough task.
