New Delhi: In India, cricket isn’t just a sport, it’s a faith and on the eve of the Asia Cup 2025 final that belief was on full display in different parts of the country, especially at Ganga aarti where fans turned to divine power for Team India’s victory against Pakistan. The much-awaited final set to take place in Dubai on September 28 and has already gripped the nation but for some hope came in the form of prayer.

Many videos have surfaced on social media showing devotees in Prayagraj performing Ganga aarti, holding Indian flags and pictures of captain Suryakumar Yadav and opener Shubman Gill. The caption read, “People offer prayers in Prayagraj for Team India's victory. India to take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final today in Dubai.”

The visuals from Prayagraj reflect just how deep cricket runs in Indian culture. The Ganga aarti which is a centuries-old ritual symbolising devotion and purification, turned into a heartfelt display of sporting support. As lamps glowed along the ghats, chants for India’s win echoed in the background with a rare blend of faith and fandom.

This final is not just another cricket match as it will mark their first encounter in the final of the Asia Cup in 41 years, making it one of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory.
