Apple might have inadvertently leaked information about its future products in the form of allusions within software source code that is publicly accessible. The find, noted by MacRumors, indicates upgrades on the iPad, Apple Watch, HomePod mini, Apple TV, Vision Pro, and others. These identifiers, codenames, chip specifications and connectivity clues are sometimes months ahead of official releases, providing a glimpse into Apple's hardware pipeline that is seldom seen.
The results indicate the possible wide redesign of the Apple product line, with an increased processing power, screen technology, and AI features. Although most of the specifications are still not confirmed, the code indicates new chips, improved wireless functionality and minor design modifications. The launch dates are between 2025 and 2026, and most of the devices will maintain their present pricing.
The next-generation HomePod mini, codenamed B525, is predicted to use Apple T8310 microarchitecture, which may include a 64-bit dual-core CPU based on the A16 and a four-core Neural Engine. It could pack Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth upgrades and maybe new colours. The price might remain close to its current rate of about $99.
The new Apple TV is likely to sport the A17 Pro processor that would allow improved gaming and AI. Apple itself is also apparently testing a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module, and it could be priced at $129-$149.
The code names point to a new Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting and HDR performance. It may be introduced together with M5-based Macs in early 2026. The details of the pricing are not yet known.
The second iPad mini may have the A19 Pro chip and some GPU variants as well as potential future OLED. The entry-level iPad may receive the A18 chip with a 16-core Neural Engine in the spring and will still be priced as the current model.
The Vision Pro 2 could have an M5 chip, an improved strap, and launch in late 2025. Apple Watch SE 3, Ultra 3 and Series 11 are likely to retain S11 SiP processors with enhanced efficiency. It is probable that the prices of all models will be kept similar to the current ones.
