New Delhi: Meta has acquired Manus AI, a company in Singapore which has specialised in autonomous AI agents, in an ambitious expansion of its AI capabilities. The transaction, estimated to be worth more than $2 billion, was declared at the end of December 2025. A fast-growing startup, Manus, with annual recurring revenue of $100 million, comes to the umbrella of Meta eight months after its creation. The purpose of this acquisition is to bring the technology developed by Manus to the platforms of Meta, such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and also maintain Manus as a separate service.

The most recent additions to the updates of Manus are the new app publishing features, where users can develop and deploy mobile apps in both iOS and Android without code. This solution is a no-code tool based on AI that creates code and manages deployments to simplify the process between creation and availability in the app store. Any user can now create apps with little work, speeding up the creation of both business and personal apps. This feature, as an element of Meta, will offer further AI-powered innovations in the creation of apps, even faster.

Understanding Manus AI

Manus AI is a high-tech platform utilising general-purpose AI agents to accomplish complex tasks on its own. It deals with research and coding for content generation. The company was established in early 2025 by Chinese businessmen in Singapore and achieved momentum in a short period of time. Its agents work in virtual space and carry out the multi-step workflows without the permanent involvement of people.

The Meta acquisition

Meta has acquired Manus to enhance its AI strategy. The acquisition is an expression of Meta moving to agentic AI, where systems become decision-makers and perform tasks by themselves. Manus will retain selling subscriptions and base it in Singapore. Being integrated into the ecosystem of Meta has the potential to change the nature of user engagement with social media and business tools.

What is app publishing in Manus?

The feature of publishing apps that is offered by Manus enables one-click release of mobile apps in app stores. It employs AI to perform code generation and control the publishing. It is an end-to-end solution that supports both Android and iOS and can develop apps without the need to code. The feature involves packaging, uploading and testing, paving the way to complete store releases.

Android: Android app publishing

Enter your Manus directory. Go to the section of Publish to Google Play. Manus converts your app to an Android App Bundle (AAB). Use the given link in order to post it to the Google Play Console. Control testers and releases there. You need to have a Google Play Developer account.

iOS app publishing

You need to first have an Apple Developer account. In Manus, go to the tab Publish and choose iOS. Click Create app to allow Manus to create, package and submit to App Store Connect. Attach a TestFlight email in process. Invite internal or external testers through App Store Connect. Install and test on devices.

This aspect reduces the development time by a significant margin. It minimises technical barriers, making feedback loops fast. Under the umbrella of Meta, improvements such as increased integrations can be anticipated. Manus is also free to use, and their prices are available on their site. This act is an indication of transitioning to AI-driven app ecosystems.
