Existential Threats Removed, Focus Now on Gaza Hostage Rescue: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed members of Shin Bet on Sunday, June 29, claiming that Israel has neutralized two major existential threats. Speaking alongside the interim head of the agency after Ronen Bar’s resignation, Netanyahu declared the immediate danger to Israel’s survival has been dealt with.
He emphasized that the nation’s top priority now is to rescue the remaining hostages in Gaza. Currently, around 50 hostages are unaccounted for, with only 20 believed to be alive. The situation remains tense as efforts intensify to secure their release amid ongoing regional instability.
