Afghanistan Rejects Trumps Bid to Reclaim Bagram Air Base

Afghanistan has categorically rejected a call by former US President Donald Trump to retake Bagram Air Base. The Afghan government maintains its sovereignty is non-negotiable. Chief of Staff Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat stated, "It is not possible to negotiate over even one inch of Afghanistans soil."

This rejection comes four years after the US withdrawal left Bagram under Taliban control. Trump's recent statement indicating discussions with Afghanistan regarding a return to the base has been met with firm opposition.
