‘Got no credit’: Trump once again claims of ending India-Pakistan war in meeting with Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump repeatedly claimed to have resolved the India-Pakistan conflict and other wars during his meeting with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Washington: US President Donald Trump once gain claimed to have resolved the India-Pakistan conflict during his bilateral level talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He claimed to have solved sight wars since returning to the White House.

Trump’s meeting with Israeli counterpart

During his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister, Trump said that even as he stopped the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan and threatened countries with tougher tariffs, he was not given any credit for the same. It was after this that he claimed to have stopped the India-Pakistan war.

Notably, earlier this year, India started Operation Sindoor targeting nine camps nine terrorists camps after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. Following this, Pakistan forces tried to retaliate but were given appropriate answers by Indian armed forces. On May 10, Trump took to X saying that the India-Pakistan conflict has been resolved. Since then, he claimed the same on several occasions, only to be rejected by India.

Trump’s praise for Putin

“Settled eight wars, but we don't know the countries. Azerbaijan... It's good when you can say it...And (Russian President Vladimir) Putin actually said to me, ‘I cannot believe you settled that war because I've been trying for 10 years’. And I literally settled it in one day," Trump was quoted as saying.

He added, “"Trade. They do trade. I said, ‘We're going to cut you off from trade. No more trade. To both of them...Then I put 200 per cent tariffs... the next day they called.… 35 years of fighting, and they stopped." "Do I get credit for it? No. I did eight of them. India. How about India and Pakistan... So I did eight of them, and then I'll tell you the rest of it.”
