New Delhi: Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir on Saturday once again issued threats against India. Addressing the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul, Munir claimed that Pakistan possesses the capability to "shatter the misconceived immunity of India's geographical warspace."
The Pakistan Army Chief then cautioned the Indian military that there is no space for war in a nuclearized environment. Although his assertions totally changed, when he added that India's economic and military losses would be beyond imagination, if with "minor provocations".
Munir further added that it won't take much time for Islamabad to respond to India's threats. He warned that the repercussions would be beyond their imagination. "With diminishing distinction between combat and communication zones, the reach and lethality of our weapon systems will shatter the misconceived immunity of India's geographic vastness," he said.
The deeply hurting retributive military and economic losses inflicted will be much beyond the imagination and calculations of the perpetrators of chaos and instability." The Islamabad leader then warned that the liability of escalations would be borne by India, "one that may ultimately bear catastrophic consequences for the entire region and beyond, will squarely lie with India.
Previously, India has cautioned Pakistan several times about Operation Sindoor 2.0, if there is any aggression felt at the other side. On 7 May 2025, India announced that it had launched missile and air strikes, codenamed Operation Sindoor, targeting nine sites across Pakistani-administered Azad Kashmir and Pakistan's Punjab province.
However, Munir also delivered a similar provocative speech against India days before the terrorists killed 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. At the time, Munir called Kashmir Islamabad's "jugular vein".
Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad on April 16, he said, "Our stance is absolutely clear, it was our jugular vein, it will be our jugular vein, we will not forget it. We will not leave our Kashmiri brothers in their heroic struggle."
