Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Labour, Economy and Tourism, Baden-Württemberg, delivered a keynote address at the News9 Global Summit in Stuttgart, highlighting the deepening ties between India and Germany. She affirmed India's status as the world's most populous nation and one of its fastest-growing major economies, citing its young demographic and dynamic industrial base as key attractions for international partners.
The Minister emphasised Baden-Württembergs dedication to strengthening bilateral economic relations, noting approximately 350 German companies active in India and 50 Indian companies operating in Baden-Württemberg. She underscored the importance of a free trade agreement between the European Union and India to foster trust and reduce barriers.
Collaborations extend beyond economics to include skilled labour migration, vocational training, and sports diplomacy, exemplifying the broad scope of the Indo-German partnership in a changing global landscape.
