As the Israel-Gaza war drags on, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday make it clear that there is no plan to reoccupy and annex Gaza. Netanyahu's remarks to TV Network came amid talks Israeli plans to take full control of Gaza amid opposition by Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir.

Earlier, there were reports that Israeli security cabinet will discuss the Gaza takeover proposal on Thursday evening and was likely to approve it. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has opposed the plan since its inception as Netanyahu's far-right allies and ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have been pushing the Israeli PM for the plan.

The two-far right leaders have made no secret of their intentions to resettle Gaza with Jewish population and even expelling Palestinians from the enclave devasted by Israeli attacks since October 2023 following Palestinian resistance group Hamas shock attack on October 7 which killed at least 1200 civilians and military personnel.

So far, over 600,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel's non-stop deadly attacks which the UN and international community termed as a genocide.

Exclusively talking to TV9 Network, Netanyahu said, "We want to establish a defence parameter around Gaza. The humanitarian crisis is caused by Hamas in Gaza."

He also spoke on India's Operation Sindoor and said Israeli equipment given to New Delhi earlier worked well during the operation against Pakistan.

He said Israel wants more Indian workers because they are sensible and Israel is trying to remove bureaucratic hurdles for the same.
