Watch: US woman speaks Marathi to her desi husband; his reaction is adorable

Washington DC: An American woman surprised her husband by trying to communicate with him in his native language, Marathi. The video was shared on Aniket & Candace's Instagram page. In the clip, Candace told netizens that she was trying to learn Ankit's mother tongue. She said she was practising the language to be able to speak to him in his mother tongue. In the clip, Candace is seen wishing her husband a good morning in Marathi. She then asks, "Kasa Ahes (How are you)?” Later, she also asked her man about their dinner. "Raatri Jeevayla Kaay Ahe (What is for dinner)?" Anikit was pleasantly surprised to see his wife trying to speak his language. He blushed and responded to her in Marathi. The clip ended with the woman thanking Aniket in Marathi. The video garnered more than 1.7 million views. Netizens were impressed with the woman's efforts. One wrote, "That smile when you were talking to him in his native language was like. 'This is why I love this woman'." Another commented, "He is low-key so proud."
