First quarter of this century: How bikes and bikers evolved

New Delhi: With 2025 coming to an end, we have completed the first quarter of the 20th Century. These 25 years have seen the two-wheelers in India change dramatically. In the early 2000s, two-wheelers in India were basic machines. Most motorcycles and scooters came with kick start, drum brakes and minimal safety equipment. Features were limited, and buyers focused mainly on fuel efficiency and the price of the vehicle. Over the last 25 years, that picture has changed completely; now we have motorcycles with improved safety and various features. However, not only in motorcycle safety and features, India has seen a major change in terms of riding gear, mainly in helmets. Even so, a rear group of riders are using a complete kit of safety gear while riding. While the majority only need helmets for their head protection or may want to avoid a challan. Despite that, our people are aware of the importance of helmets, and they are buying good helmets with certification rather than a cheap one...

Popular bikes that will be discontinued in India by 2025

New Delhi: India has a larger market for two-wheeler as compared to the four-wheeler segment. Some people can 't afford a four-wheeler, or some can afford to be in bumper-to-bumper traffic with four-wheelers. Like these, there are many reasons why India has a large two-wheeler market, even though there are various motorcycles that can not survive in India, due to some reasons. As the two-wheeler market moves fast, any bike that doesn’t offer good features, regular updates or proper pricing usually struggles to survive. Several motorcycles will be completely removed from the market by the end of 2025, as brands have already decided to discontinue them from 2026. Major names like Harley-Davidson, KTM, Bajaj, Honda and Royal Enfield have multiple models on the exit list. Harley-Davidson Harley-Davidson will stop selling their X440 Denim, which is the base variant of the X440.
