New Delhi: India Post has taken a big step for users across the country. Now there will be no need to line up for most of the post office services. India Post has launched its new mobile app Dak Seva 2.0, through which money orders, parcel tracking, insurance payments and many other activities can now be carried out from the mobile.
India Post shared the information on X (earlier Twitter) and wrote, “Now the post office will be found in the pocket” i.e. through this app the necessary services of the postal department will be at your fingertips. Whether it is sending parcels, paying insurance premiums or calculating speed post fees, everything will be possible in one app.
Dak Seva 2.0 is designed to be completely user-friendly so that anyone can use it easily. With this app, you can do many things sitting at home, such as —
Parcel Tracking: Can track the delivery status of any speed post or parcel in real-time.
Money order: No need to go to the post office anymore, money order can be sent only from mobile.
Postal Fee Calculation: Fees for speed post, registry or other services can be calculated.
PLI/RPLI Payment: Postal life insurance premiums can also be paid from this app.
If there is a complaint related to the postal service, then the Complaint Management System is provided in the app for that too. Users can register their complaints and track their status in the same app. That means complaints will not be lost, everything will be monitored digitally.

It supports 23 Indian languages, which include major languages like Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Gujarati. The option to change the language is present at the top of the app, so that people of every state can easily use it in the language of their choice.

People who have a post office savings account can also view their account information through this app. Account balance, transaction and other details can be accessed in a few clicks. In addition, the app has the facility to track all your postal activities from one place by creating a profile.
