New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC Multi-Tasking (non-technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) exam 2025 schedule. As per the SSC MTS 2025 dates, the exam will be conducted on February 4, 2026. The self-slotting process will start on January 15 and candidates can book the slot at ssc.gov.in.
SSC MTS 2025 exam will be conducted as a computer-based test. The Havaldar post exam will be in CBT mode followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST). The question paper will have objective-type and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). SSC MTS exam will be conducted in two sessions. The questions will be in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages.
The exam will be divided in a total of four sections. Session 1 includes numerical and mathematical ability with 20 questions and reasoning ability and problem-solving with 20 questions. Session 2 consists of general awareness with 25 questions and English language and comprehension with 25 questions.
The SSC MTS exam will be held for a duration of 45 minutes. A 60 minutes time duration is alloted for candidates using a scribe. There will be a total of 90 questions- 40 in session 1 and 50 in session 2. The complete paper is of 270 marks (120 in session 1 and 150 in session 2).
As per the SSC MTS marking scheme, in session 1, candidates will get three marks for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking for incorrect attempts. In session 2, three marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
The SSC MTS admit card release date is yet to be announced by the exam conducting authority. However, it is likely to be made available in the second week of January 2026. To download the SSC MTS 2025 admit card, valid registration number and password will be required. Candidates must carry the admit card on the exam day.
