Greater Noida: An unbelievable sight was witnessed in Greater Noida West's Gaur City Society on early Sunday morning. As the residents from high rise building woke up from their sleep, they witnessed thick clouds and fog enveloped the entire area. Soon after, a resident of the society captured the scene from the 23rd floor of his tower.
The video, which is now rapidly going viral on social media, shows tall buildings amid the clouds, as if they were situated in some mountainous region. The trees and roads below have completely vanished. Those who saw the video on social media say the scene resembles the mountains of Himachal or Uttarakhand.
According to locals, cold winds and high humidity in the morning brought dense fog and clouds close to the ground. From high-rise apartments, it appeared as if the buildings were rising out of a sea of clouds.
Sharing the video on social media, one of the users wrote, "Now there's no need to go out to see the mountains. A view like Switzerland is visible right here in Greater Noida. This is a wonderful display of natural beauty."
As soon as the video went viral, people hailed it as a miracle of nature. Some called it a beauty, while others linked it to rising pollution and climate change. As per experts, humidity, cold winds, and low temperatures during winter contribute to such phenomena.
While the view was truly attractive, poor visibility in the morning caused inconvenience to drivers. The administration has urged people to drive cautiously during foggy weather. In a modern and developed city like Greater Noida, this natural scenery was a gift. Even if only for a few moments, it certainly brought people closer to nature, escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
