Hyderabad: Teen girl dies by suicide in Habsiguda
The teenager was reportedly upset that her parents scolded her for not studying properly.
Hyderabad: A 14-year-old girl studying in class 10 died by jumping from a five-storey building in Habsiguda area of the city in the early hours of Tuesday, tv9 telugu reported.
The minor was reportedly upset that her parents scolded her for not studying properly. She is said to have taken the extreme step in distress.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Osmania University (OU) police reached the spot and collected details from family members. The police said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
The police have also questioned and recorded statements of teachers at Sri Chaitanya School where the student was studying. Her body was taken to Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad for postmortem.
Newly wed bride dies in accident:
In a separate incident, a newly wed bride died in a road accident after a tractor hit the bike from behind on Monday. The newly wed couple, Pranathi and Saikumar, were traveling to Hyderabad from Chepyala village of Mirudoddi mandal. Pranathi died immediately and Saikumar sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
