Mumbai: Bigg Boss 19 contestant Amaal Mallik urged fans to stop speculating about his relationship with co-contestant Tanya Mittal. Amaal even apologised to Tanya.
Amaal took to X to talk about the issue. He clarified that the moments he shared with Tanya on the show were part of its format and should not be mistaken as romantic. Amaal's clarification came after fans began recirculating the videos of their dance on the show. Shutting down the chatter, he wrote on X, "Bhai yeh ek ‘TASK’ tha (Brother, this was a task)"
Further, he explained that contestants on the show are required to do tasks as asked or instructed by the host or guests. He also disclosed that the pairing of contestants was also carried out by the show's creative team. He requested fans not to turn it all into "nonsensical romance".
Amaal then went on to thank Tanya for her emotional support on the show. He also asked forgiveness to her and her fans for any wrongdoing from his end. “I am truly sorry for whatever I did in anger and to poke her,” said the music composer.
He also told fans that they should stop linking her with him, as it can damage her reputation.
"Just know such things happen and that’s how one realises his or her shortcomings and works on them. So I request you all to please stop linking us & expecting us to be interacting in a certain way. Linking her constantly with me is going to tarnish her image & It is not something she or any girl deserves to be put through. I understand you liked our friendship/ camaraderie, but the fans on either side must learn to respect people and their space…," wrote Amaal.
He concluded, "I request you to stop mud slinging & I request #TaniaFans to also respectfully start doing the same!"
At the beginning of the show, Tanya and Amaal were often spotted together. Tanya offered support to the composer when he was struggling emotionally.
