New Delhi: Actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has shared his first review of Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie. The actor-politician called the Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie a “mass entertainer” and even congratulated Thalaivar on completing 50 years in the film industry.
Coolie, also starring Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, and Shruti Haasan, is set to release on August 14, 2025. The film has also crossed Rs 100 crore in its pre-sales for the opening weekend and is expected to have a phenomenal run at the box office.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Stalin penned a note for Rajinikanth and Coolie. He stated, “I am truly delighted to congratulate our Superstar @rajinikanth sir on completing 50 glorious years in the film industry. Had the opportunity to get an early glimpse of his much-awaited movie #Coolie, releasing tomorrow. I thoroughly enjoyed this power-packed mass entertainer and am sure it will capture the hearts of audiences everywhere.”

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj re-shared his post and expressed his gratitude for his kind words and said, “Very grateful for your kind words @Udhaystalin sir (hug and heart emojis) Feeling elated to know that you loved the film sir, thank you so much for this.”
Starring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and Aamir Khan, the film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, produced by Sun Pictures and music is given by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has received ‘A’ certificate and its total runtime is 2 hours and 50 minutes.
