Veteran actor Dharmendra will bid farewell to cinema with one last role in 'Ikkis', directed by Sriram Raghavan and headlined by Agastya Nanda.

Mumbai: Legendary actor Dharmendra will last been on screen in Ikkis, headlined by Agastya Nanda. The makers of the film revealed today morning that the late veteran actor Dharmendra will be portraying the role of Agastya's father in the movie. Though the news of Dharmendra's part in the film was already known, it is only now that the makers disclosed the details of his final character. 

Maddock Films took to its official Instagram page to announce the news. Under the poster featuring Dharmendra, the caption read, "Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another.” Agastya plays the role of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, in the film.

Another poster featuring Dharmendra was shared with the caption, "A father’s worst nightmare became a nation’s chance to dream again. Woh joh na sirf Hindustani, balki Pakistani fauj ke liye bhi misaal ban gaya.” The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It is co-written by Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, and Pooja Ladha Surti. Other actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher play pivotal roles in the movie. 

Meanwhile, the veteran was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).  

Dharmendra's death 

Bollywood legend Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on Monday afternoon. The actor was brought home just two weeks ago from Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. Hema Malini, along with daughter Esha Deol, was spotted outside a Mumbai crematorium. Several actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Amir Khan were also spotted at the crematorium. However, the family has not yet released an official statement relating to his passing. Previously, rumours about the actor's passing had flooded online, causing his family deep distress.
