New Delhi: The much-anticipated movie, Karate Kid: Legends, starring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, has finally premiered on OTT after its theatrical run. Directed by Jonathan Entwistle and written by Rob Lieber, the movie builds on the popular web series, Cobra Kai, but with fresh twists.
The film was released in theatres in May 2025 and is expected to drop on Netflix for online streaming by late August or early September. However, if you can’t really wait to watch the movie, it is now available to buy or rent on other OTT platforms.
Jackie Chan’s Mr Han and Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso star in Karate Kid: Legends. According to Decider, the film was dropped on Amazon Prime Video on July 8, 2025, but is available for rent. On other platforms such as Apple TV and Fandango At Home, the film is available to buy. The film is available at USD 19.99 to rent and USD 24.99 to buy.
If you plan to rent the movie, you will have 30 days to start the film and once you start playing the movie, you have 48 hours to finish it.
Meanwhile, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix in August or September this year. However, there is no official confirmation of the same.
In the movie, Mr Han and Daniel LaRusso join hands with Li Fong, played by Ben Wang. Though the film received mixed reactions, it is a must-watch for Karate Kid fans. The film revolves around Kung Fu prodigy Li Fong, who relocates to New York City and gets in a tiff with a karate champion. He then embarks on a journey to enter the ultimate karate competition with the help of Mr Han and Daniel LaRusso.
