Another Bihar shocker, woman sustains bullet injury during clash in Bahadurpur

New Delhi: A day after a man was killed in a private hospital by a group of five armed men in Bihar's Patna, another shocking incident has come to light from Bahadurpur in Darbhagna district. A woman suffered bullet injury after a group of boys opened fire during a clash, police said. The incident took place on Friday.

According to police, the woman, identified as Baby Devi, was sitting near her house when a verbal altercation broke out between a group of boys. As the argument escalated, one of them opened fire and the bullet passed through her chest, a senior police officer said while speaking to reporters.

The woman sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital, where she is still in critical condition. Police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.

Patna Hospital murder case

Earlier on Thursday, a prisoner was shot dead at Paras hospital in Patna. According to police, five miscreants entered the hospital premises early in the morning and gunned him down. The deceased, identified as Chandan Mishra, originally hailed from Buxar district. He was a dreaded criminal and was out on a parole on medical ground.

Bihar police special cell

Amid the rising criminal activities in the state, the Bihar Police has formed a special ‘cell’ aimed at cracking down on contract killers. The new cell has been set up under the Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar Police.

According to Bihar ADG (Law and Order) Kundan Krishnan, a detailed file would be prepared to keep a tab on each contract killer. “A new cell has been constituted to keep a tab on contract killers. A database of these contract killers will be maintained to check their activities and nab them in future,” he was quoted as saying by PTI.
