School principal saw some suspicious packets

The matter came to notice when school principal Subhash Singh saw some suspicious packets lying in the bushes near the school. He immediately informed the police. Two police teams reached the spot quickly and cordoned off the area to ensure the safety of students and villagers.

Soon, bomb disposal squads and dog squads were called in from Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts. The canine unit carried out a detailed search. During this search, several packets of gelatin sticks were found hidden in the bushes. Some more packets were discovered about 20 feet away.

Nearby areas were also searched

The bomb disposal squad carefully collected the packets, sealed them, and placed them in a safe location. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Devendra Pincha confirmed the recovery and said that nearby areas were also searched to rule out more hidden explosives.

Gelatin sticks are explosive materials often used in mining and construction work to blast rocks. However, their presence near a school has raised serious questions. Police are now investigating why such dangerous materials were brought to this village and who is behind it.

Case has been registered

A case has been registered against unknown persons under Section 4(a) of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908, and Section 288 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Four police teams have been formed to carry out further investigation.

The discovery has put the entire security system on alert. After the Delhi blast and the huge seizure of explosives in Haryana, intelligence agencies had already warned about possible terror plans. Sources suggest that some terror groups may have been planning serial blasts in major cities.

Authorities are now working to ensure that schools and public places remain safe

Police across the country are conducting searches in different areas to prevent any such incident. The timely alert by the school principal and the swift response by police teams helped avoid a possible disaster. Authorities are now working to ensure that schools and public places remain safe from such threats.
