New Delhi: In a horrifying incident, a 12-year-old boy died after falling from the terrace while flying a kite at Zakir Nagar in Delhi. The victim, identified as Mohammad Saad, fell from the fourth floor of his house as he slipped his foot from the terrace.

The unprecedented incident took place on Sunday afternoon and was  captured on a CCTV footage. The video shows the minor abruptly falling to the ground. Passerby, shocked at the site gather together to help the guy.

Sources say that the boy was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident. The family members took the child to the Holy Family Hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.

The deceased minor, Saad was a 6th standard student, studying at a government school at Batla House. His father works as a welder.

Initial investigation suggests there is no suspicion of any kind of conspiracy or foul play in this accident. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby has also been examined. At present, the police have started inquiry proceedings in the case.

In a similar incident, in 2023, a 12-year-old boy fell to his death from his home on the 18th floor of a high-rise in Greater Noida West. The incident took place in Tower 9 of Ace Divine society, when the child, Manish Giri, was alone at home. He was playing on the balcony while his mother had gone down for a stroll in the society compound. While calling his mother from the balcony, the boy lost his balance and fell over the balcony railing.

In 2024, a child died after a part of the terrace collapsed at his house. The minor was soon rushed to a nearby hospital by his parents. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. The building was old, and a portion of the terrace, measuring around 50 square yards, suddenly gave way while the six-year-old was playing on it.
