How Ayodhya is being prepped for mega saffron flag to mark Ram Temple completion

Ayodhya is preparing for a flag hoisting ceremony on Tuesday, The event will mark the completion of the Ram Temple in the city. The entry of private vehicles has been banned in the area around the temple and devotees can only enter through valid passes.

New Delhi: Ayodhya is all set to witness the flag hoisting ceremony over the newly constructed Ram Temple. The grand event is scheduled for Tuesday and the administration has banned the entry of public vehicles in the town from Monday itself.

Barricades put up, police increase vigil around temple

Barricades have been put up outside the Surya Dwar of the temple and vigilance has been increased all around it. Only those with valid passes are allowed to enter the temple premises.

All preparations have been completed before the grand flag hoisting ceremony. People visiting the city and also locals said that they have truly seen the grandeur of the town and are witnessing a grand, new and divine Ayodhya.

The flag hoisting ceremony is being held on the occasion of Vivah Panchami and with this, the construction of Ram Temple will be considered to be complete. A day before the flag hoisting ceremony, security has been beefed up in Ayodhya, and entry for public vehicles has been restricted. After the ceremony concludes on Tuesday, only then can common devotees enter the temple. Till the guests leave entry to the temple is allowed only through valid passes.

The main entrance of the temple will be decorated with beautiful flowers. At least 1500 quintals of flowers are being used to decorate the temple. The devotees are allowed to enter the temple in queues. A decorated board is also being placed at the temple entrance. On Tuesday, common people cannot use the Ram Path. Devotees from abroad are also expected to attend the grand event of flag hoisting.

Labourers have been working at the temple site for the past 3 days. It is expected that the decorations will be complete by late night on Monday. Flowers for decoration have been brought from all states of the country. Garlands are being prepared by at least 24 labourers, said a report.
