A video from Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr has gone viral on social media. Video captures UP Police officials instructing a couple on how to describe an alleged incident involving a pistol. The video captures police officers scripting the entire sequence to justify the husband's arrest.
The video shows an inspector directing colleagues to record the 'staged interaction'. The video also shows the inspector asking his colleagues to record the interaction, unaware that filming was already underway. The video capturing the officials staging the arrest soon went viral on social media and sparked outrage.
On Nov 3, a woman, Pooja Solanki, filed a complaint with the police about domestic violence. Pooja alleged that her husband was threatening her with a gun. After the complaint, a police team immediately rushed to the spot to probe the matter.
Officers listened to both parties and sought guidance from higher authorities. Ahead of the arrest, the officer made up a script to direct the couple on how to narrate the incident for video documentation. Notably, the video documentation of the incident has been mandated by the legal guidelines.

The police then arrested Pooja's husband, Ajay Solanki, on the same day released him on November 7. Notably, the video surfaced on social media on November 22 and sparked widespread criticism.
