New Delhi: Congress leaders and workers across India extended heartfelt wishes to party president Mallikarjun Kharge on his 83rd birthday on Sunday. The celebrations featured special tributes, including a sugar-free cake prepared by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, according to  sources. Born in Varavatti village in Karnataka’s Bidar district, Kharge turned 83 today. Having taken over as Congress President in 2022, the veteran politician was showered with greetings, notably from Rahul Gandhi, who lauded his commitment and leadership. "Wishing Congress President @kharge ji a very happy birthday! Your leadership, commitment, and dedication to the people of India inspire us all. May you be blessed with good health and happiness,” Rahul Gandhi posted on X.
