The wedding festivities have started in the Tendulkar household after reports confirming the wedding date of Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok went viral on the internet. According to several media outlets, the auspicious day has been finalised, and Arjun is set to marry his fiancée, Saaniya, this March.
The wedding will happen before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where Arjun will play for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after being traded from the Mumbai Indians. Before he steps on the field in IPL 2026, Arjun would have taken a big step forward in his personal life.
Arjun and Saaniya took the first step toward marriage back in August 2025 in a secret engagement ceremony, which was attended exclusively by their closest family members.
The news came out in public after Arjun himself confirmed it during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session.
The celebrations will reportedly kick off on March 3, with the wedding expected to be held on 5 March 2026. The pre-wedding events and the main ceremony are expected to stay intimate. According to the Times of India, the celebrations will be held in Mumbai and will remain a private affair, with a limited guest list comprising family, close friends, and select members of the cricketing fraternity in attendance.
Saaniya, a successful entrepreneur, is the granddaughter of the well-known Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. She has reportedly been close to the Tendulkar family for quite some time.
Meanwhile, Arjun, like his father Sachin, has forged a cricket career. A bowling all-rounder for Goa, the left-arm fast bowler and a hard-hitting lower-order batsman, is still finding his feet in domestic cricket.
After making a sensational Ranji Trophy debut for Goa in 2022 by scoring a century and emulating his father's record of reaching three figures in his maiden first-class match, Tendulkar has yet to build on that stunning start.
