After hammering UAE by 234 runs in their opener on Friday, Ayush Mhatre-led India will lock horns with Pakistan in their second group-stage clash in the U19 Men's Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday. The match is set to take place at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
India U19 rode on a stunning 171-run knock from Vaibhav Suryavanshi to post a huge total of 433 runs on the board in 50 overs, batting first against the UAE. India restricted the hosts to 199/7 in 50 overs during their run chase to register a thumping victory in their tournament opener.
Suryavanshi, who continues to rise in stature with each passing game, notched up his ton off just 56 balls against UAE and finished with 171 off 95 deliveries against UAE, laced with a staggering 14 sixes and 9 fours. Aaron George (69) and Vihaan Malhotra (69) also made vital contributions for India with the bat.
Pakistan U19 too won their opening game of the tournament as they thrashed Malaysia U19 by 297 runs. Pakistan rode on centuries from Sameer Mihas (177) and Ahmed Hussain (132) to post a strong total of 345/3 in 50 overs. Chasing a huge target of 346 runs, Malaysia struggled and were skittled out for just 48 in 19.4 overs as Pakistan registered a huge win.
