New Delhi: Pakistan bundled out on 146 runs in 19.1 overs, after a promising start against India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 28. The Men in Green were cruising to a big total as they were at 113/1 in 12.4 overs, but after that lost nine wickets for just 33 runs and were bowled out with five balls to spare.

Pakistan's opener Sahibzada Farhan smashed his second consecutive half-century against India in the ongoing Continental Cup.

Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave a steady start in the power play by adding 45 runs without giving away any wickets to Indian bowlers. After the powerplay, Farhan took Indian bowlers on remand and completed his fifty in 35 balls. Pakistan's opener became the first batter to smash Jasprit Bumrah for three sixes in T20Is.

Both openers added 84 runs for the first wicket partnership before Varun Chakarvarty gave his side the first breakthrough in the final as he removed the dangerous-looking Farhan on 57 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav was expensive in his first two overs, conceding 23 runs, but made a splendid comeback in his third over by dismissing Saim Ayub and pushing Pakistan for a collapse.

After Ayub's wicket, Indian spinners Kuldeep, Varun, and Axar Patel were all over the Pakistani batters. All spinners took a combined total of eight wickets between them and stopped Pakistan for an under-par score in a high-octane final match.

Abhishek Sharma fails against Pakistan in final

After having a dream campaign in the Asia Cup 2025, Abhishek Sharma failed for the first time in the tournament, and that too in the big final against Pakistan. Before this game, Abhishek had three 30+ scores and three half-centuries in the ongoing Continental Cup.

It was his first single-digit score in the tournament, as he was dismissed for just five runs in six balls. The left-hand batter stepped out on the first ball against Shaheen Afridi but got beaten up by the outswing.

Faheem Ashraf sent Abhishek to the pavilion in his first ball as Ashraf bowled a slower ball, and Abhishek tried to take him down on the first ball and couldn't reach to the ball and gave an easy catch to Haris Rauf.
