New Delhi: India's Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant was announced as the captain of the Delhi team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, while superstar batter Virat Kohli is likely to be available for a couple of games in the upcoming National One-Day Championship starting December 24.
Besides Pant and Kohli, fast bowler Harshit Rana, veteran pacers Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini have also confirmed their availability to play in the tournament.
The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), however, didn't list the names of Pant, Kohli and Rana in the 16-member squad as they won't be available for the entire event.
Those who haven't been named in the 16-member squad are likely to play two to three games before the New Zealand ODI series starting January 11, 2026.
However, the fixtures in which Kohli and Pant will play are not yet known.
