Unai Simón made a couple of big saves, including two point-blank stops against Senny Mayulu and a late attempt by fellow Spaniard Fabián Ruiz.

Bardley Barcola came closest to scoring for PSG when he raced in behind, but his shot crashed back off the crossbar as the game ended in a draw at San Mamés.

Alejandro Grimaldo netted a late equaliser for Bayer Leverkusen to deny Newcastle United a victory. Anthony Gordon delivered a brilliant performance in the second half as the Magpies looked set to secure all three points, but Grimaldo smashed past Aaron Ramsdale with two minutes remaining.

Leverkusen took the lead in the 10th minute when captain Robert Andrich's header hit Bruno Guimaraes on the back and deflected in. Gordon levelled the match by drilling in a penalty in the 51st minute after Nick Woltemade had been fouled. The England man then delivered a stunning cross for teenager Lewis Miley to head in, but Grimaldo's goal helped the German club to secure one point.

Nico O'Reilly's strike and Erling Haaland's brilliant penalty sealed a comeback win for the visitors at Bernabéu. Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the match as Vinicius Junior provided a stunning assist to Rodrygo, who netted with a clean finish.

Just seven minutes later, Nico O'Reilly scored the leveller for the visitors after Thibaut Courtois failed to clear a header from Joško Gvardiol. With half-time approaching, Haaland converted a penalty in the 43rd minute after a foul on the Norwegian international by Antonio Rüdiger.
