Bayern Munich 3-1 Sporting

Bayern Munich returned to winning ways in the Champions League 2025-26 with a thumping 3-1 victory against Sporting. 17-year-old Lennart Karl scored for the third game in a row and became the youngest to achieve the feat in the Champions League as he played his part in Bayern's victory. After Joshua Kimmich's own goal gave Sporting the lead in the 54th minute, Serge Gnabry, Karl and Jonathan Tah scored in the second half to wrap up a 3-1 victory for Bayern.

Liverpool 1-0 Inter Milan

With no Mohamed Salah in the squad, Arne Slot's Liverpool earned a much-needed 1-0 win against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday. Slot decided to drop Salah after the Egyptian forward's public outrage against him and the club last week. Dominik Szoboszlai converted a late penalty to help Liverpool beat Inter in a close affair.

It was an important victory for Slot and his men, as the narrative could have been entirely different had Liverpool slipped in Salah's absence. With the club already struggling in the Premier League, the noise surrounding Salah's absence would have grown louder had Szoboszlai failed to convert the penalty in the 88th minute.

Barcelona 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

Defender Jules Kounde bagged a brace to help FC Barcelona beat German side Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday. Barcelona fought back from a goal down to beat Frankfurt and register their fourth win in a row across all competitions. Ansgar Knauff gave Frankfurt the lead in the 21st minute, however, Kounde scored twice inside three minutes in the second half to seal a victory for Barcelona.

Atalanta 2-1 Chelsea

Atalanta dashed Chelsea's hopes of securing automatic qualification in the knockout stage of the Champions League with a 2-1 win against the Premier League giants in Bergamo on Wednesday. Joao Pedro scored in the 25th minute to put Chelsea ahead in the game, however, Gianluca Scamacca and Charles De Ketelaere scored in the second half to secure a 2-1 victory for Atalanta.
