New Delhi: Krafton has officially confirmed that the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 4.1 update will start rolling out on November 13, 2025, across Android and iOS devices. The update promises fresh content, improved gameplay performance, and a few fun winter surprises for players.

The developer has announced a phased rollout plan to make sure everything goes smoothly across devices. Android players will see the update arriving in stages through the morning, while iOS users will get full access a little later.

BGMI 4.1 rollout timing and schedule

Krafton says the rollout will begin for Android users at 6:30 AM (IST) with 30 percent availability, then expand to 50 percent by 9:30 AM (IST) and reach full 100 percent rollout by 11:30 AM (IST) on Google Play. For iPhone users, the update will go live completely by 9:30 AM (IST) on the App Store.

Those who prefer manual installation can grab the full APK file directly from the official BGMI website by 12:30 PM (IST). This kind of gradual rollout is Krafton’s way of keeping the servers stable and preventing crashes, which makes sense given how massive BGMI’s player base is.

What’s new in BGMI 4.1

The update packs several gameplay changes and new additions. The most talked-about feature is the new “Penguin Town”: a hot drop location on the Erangel map. It has themed loot zones, icy decorations, and even a time-based reward crate hidden inside a giant penguin statue.

Players can also expect a few new toys to experiment with. The Fish Rocket Launcher and ice-based gadgets are coming to the game, both designed to shake up classic combat strategies. A new Blue Fin Tuna Syringe is being added as a consumable item that boosts movement speed and helps with recovery.

Other smaller tweaks include better looting mechanics, now players can collect items even when knocked out, and smoother performance during fights.

Snow Festival and gameplay changes

The 4.1 update also kicks off the Snow Festival, bringing a winter-themed mood to the game. Players can expect snowy maps, limited-time missions, and cosmetic rewards tied to the event. It’s the kind of update that usually keeps things lively between esports seasons, while giving casual players something new to explore.

Krafton said the update focuses on “enhancing user experience through incremental feature updates” while ensuring smooth compatibility across different devices.

The developer is also preparing for the next big season of BGMI Esports 2026, and this update seems like the foundation for that. Improved performance, new gadgets, and event content all point toward a more stable competitive environment for both pros and regular players.

What to expect next

This is one of those updates that feels festive but also sets the stage for what’s ahead. Krafton has not hinted at the next big collaboration or crossover yet, but the timing, right before the winter season, makes it likely that something special is planned before the end of the year.
