A devastating explosion at a chemical factory in Malakpur, Faisalabad, in the early hours of today, has led to at least 15 deaths and 7 injuries. The powerful blast, which occurred around 5 am, sent shockwaves across the city, resulting in a large fire and significant structural damage.
The incident is believed by Punjab rescue officials to have been triggered by a gas leak that ignited. The chemical factory structure was completely destroyed, and approximately seven nearby houses suffered extensive damage, with some roofs collapsing.
