Bengaluru: Asked to stand in the queue, 4 techies thrash the metro security staffer at Majestic station
Four male passengers brutally assaulted a Bengaluru metro security staffer, Indrajit, at Kempegowda Interchange Station. The incident occurred after Indrajit simply asked them to queue for a Green Line train.
New Delhi: In a deplorable incident in Bengaluru, four male passengers assaulted a metro security staffer at the Kempegowda Interchange Metro Station.
Reason behind assault: A simple request
The incident took place on the afternoon of December 28, 2025. It all began when the staffer, identified as Indrajit, simply requested them to stand in line to board a Green Line train.
It infuriated one of the accused, and he slapped the staffer. Not once or twice, but a staggering seven times, and abused him over the rule to stand in the queue. In the meantime, another passenger allegedly kicked the staffer.
The refusal to stand in line
The accused, hailing from Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district, are employed at IT firms. At around 12.45 pm on Platform 3 of the Green Line, they arrived at the crowded platform to catch the train towards Madavara.
Indrajit asked the group to form a queue to safely board the train. But the request was ignored, and the four accused missed the train. When the staffer repeated his request, one of them physically assaulted and abused him. According to a report by the Times of India, another passenger kicked him, and the metro staff immediately alerted the police.
Elderly commuters confront the accused
The accused tried to escape by boarding the next train, but was stopped by two elderly commuters. Soon, personnel from Upparpet Police Station arrived at the platform and took all four accused to the police station. An FIR has been registered based on Indrajit's complaint. According to the TOI report, quoting a metro official, no commuter came forward to help the security staffer when the assault was taking place.
