On the same day, the district of Koppal reported a separate, but equally disturbing incident in Gangavathi town. The violent attack took place near Lilavati Elubhu Kilu Hospital while the young returning from Devi Camp. Early reports suggest the assault may have been linked to a 2003 case in which Venkatesh had aided law enforcement in apprehending certain individuals.
Police suspect that revenge was the primary motive behind the killing, though investigators are also exploring other possibilities, including longstanding personal enmity or disputes related to gambling. The attackers reportedly fled the scene immediately after the assault. Superintendent of Police Ram L. Arasiddi assured the public that authorities are committed to tracking down all those responsible and bringing them to justice.
The incidents have raised concerns about safety and security in both Bengaluru and Koppal, highlighting the urgent need for effective measures to prevent such tragedies. Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
