New Delhi: All state governments fix a minimum property registration price on which plots aand houses in a certain area must be registered. Similarly, a circle rate has also been set for all areas of Delhi. The circle rate determines the minimum value for which a property will be registered. Buyers of the property cannot register it for less than the fixed circle rate. All financial institutions and banks also consider latest circle rates to issue property loans.

In addition to this, the land tax and registration fees are also charged on all real estate projects as per the circle rates. Circle rates are different for different regions, are are determined by factors like location, demand, amenities and connectivity. Hence, some areas may have higher circle rates, while it might be cheaper for some.
