Metro from Noida to Sahibabad to soon become a reality? UP govt seeks DPR
Around 5 to 6 lakh people will directly benefit from this project. This will make movement easier for people living in Noida, Indirapuram and Vasundhara. The number of private vehicles on the roads will also reduce and this will resolve the traffic issues also. Being connected to Namo Bharat Station, this project will make movement between Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut easier.
Noida: The discussion on linking Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh has intensified again. The state government has sought the detailed project report (DPR) of the metro expansion planned in the region. The report includes the planned route, estimated cost of the project and many other important information. It is believed that the government will soon hold another meeting to discuss the expansion and the project is likely to get a green signal in the meeting.
Everyday, thousands of people travel to Noida from Ghaziabad and vice versa. This leads to severe traffic jams on the routes. To alleviate the traffic congestion, the option of developing a metro is being explored. Recently, government officials also met the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) officials regarding this project.

Metro will be connected to Namo Bharat station
In this project, Sahibabad Metro will be connected to Namo Bharat Station through a foot over bridge. Apart from Noida Electronic City, there will be Vaibhav Khand Indirapuram, DPS Indirapuram, Shaktikhand Indirapuram and Vasundhara Sector 7 Metro stations. The last station will be Sahibabad Metro Station. This expansion of the metro will open new possibilities of development in the region.
Once, the planned metro route becomes a reality, travel from Noida to Meerut will also become very easy and fast. the interlinking of metro and RRTS will boost the connectivity across the national capital region (NCR).
