It was found during the preliminary investigation that Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Bishnupur district in Manipur, had been living with her South Korean boyfriend at a high-rise residential society in Greater Noida for the last two years. Yuh worked as a bank manager at a private mobile company.

Sharing details of the incident, Sudhir Kumar, ADCP, Greater Noida said, "On January 4, a memo was received from GIMS Hospital regarding the death of a man named Duck Hee Yuh, a resident of South Korea, who was brought dead to the hospital. According to the information received, the man lived in Sector 150 and worked as a branch manager for a private company. South Korean man would assault live-in partner

On Sunday, the two had a fight over his drinking habit and the woman stabbed the victim in his chest in a fit of rage. She, however, later rushed him to the government hospital herself, but he was declared dead on arrival.

Interrogation revealed that she killed him after a heated argument. The Manipur woman alleged that her boyfriend would frequently beat her after drinking alcohol and that she stabbed him in his chest out of frustration. The two had been living together in a live-in relationship for a long time.

"The couple had an argument on Sunday night. Police have learned that the deceased was addicted to alcohol, and this was a frequent cause of arguments between the couple. The argument that night also broke out over his drinking habit, during which the woman attacked him with a knife, leading to his death," the senior police officer said.

The woman was arrested after the questionning and a case was registered at the Knowledge Park police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further legal proceedings are underway. "The Knowledge Park police station has completed the necessary paperwork and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Further action is being taken," Kumar said.
