Hyderabad: Nampally court has dismissed five bail petitions of Immadhi Ravi, the administrator of piracy website, iBomma, tv9 telugu reported.
Ravi had approached the court seeking bail in five cases registered against him at the Hyderabad Cybercrime police station.
The police informed the court that the case is currently under investigation and argued that he holds the citizenship of a foreign country and he might flee the country if granted bail. After hearing the arguments, the court rejected Ravi's bail petitions.
iBomma Ravi arrested:
Ravi, who is from Visakhapatnam, is the main individual behind piracy networks iBomma, Bappam and 65 other mirror websites, which attracted 37 lakh users every month.
He was arrested in November 2025 from an apartment in Kukatpally after flying in from France. Officials said that he ran one of the biggest piracy movie networks, which leaked hundreds of south Indian movies and OTT shows before release. Officials said that the crackdown on the website could be a turning point in saving Telugu film industry from losses worth hundreds of crores of rupees.
Officials seized laptops, hard disks, computers and HD prints of many films during the raid. Immediately after the arrest, Rs 3 crore in his international bank account were frozen.
