New Delhi: 'Dhurandhar', the 2025 Bollywood spy action thriller film written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar and starring Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, among other, have taken the box office by storm.
Numerous people on social media platforms are using references to 'Dhurandhar' to express their feelings. They use certain scenes or dialogues to create memes and make edited videos. The Delhi Police, which is known for its intricating ways of delivering vital information to the online community with the help of excellent memes, have also used the trend of Dhurandhar to deliver a message.
The Delhi Police posted a video on X on December 10 to send a message on drug addiction. The clip has two snippets, with the first one showing Akshaye Khanna making his entry as politician-crime lord Rehman Dakait to Gulf-based artist Flipperachi's Bahraini rap song Fa9la. In this sequence, Rehman walks into the den of another crime lord with swag and dances to the Arabic music. The Delhi Police used the sequence with the caption, “What you think you look like when high."
The next snippet shows Akshaye Khanna on his knees, trying to get up but failing repeatedly and writhing on the floor. The Delhi Police gave this scene the caption, “But here’s where you actually end up." The video ends with the message, “Do not lose control of your life as drugs only offer an illusion." The Delhi Police have uploaded the video with the caption, “Drug’s high might feel real, but it’s an illusion. Do not trade your truth for a moment’s delusion." Meanwhile, netizens have lauded the Delhi Police for its awesome creativity.
Dhurandhar, the Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller, crossed the Rs 150 crore mark after entering the Rs 100 crore club in just three days. On Tuesday, the Aditya Dhar movie earned Rs 26.50 crore, and the film's momentum seems unstoppable. The total box office collection of the film is now around Rs 152.75 crore. As opposed to the early predictions, the film is doing extremely well.
