Sole survivor of Saudi bus crash battles for life in ICU

Hyderabad: The only survivor of the bus accident in Saudi Arabia is battling for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Saudi hospital, tv9 telugu reported.

In a press conference, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said that Shoaib was the only one to survive the flames, because he was seated near the driver. He confirmed that the vast majority of the bodies were charred beyond recognition.
The bodies were shifted to King Fahad, Meeqat, King Salman hospitals in Madinah and precautions were being taken to avoid errors.
18 members of the same family killed:
In the same accident, eighteen members of the same family were also killed. Naziruddin, a retired railways employee, and his family members were on Umrah pilgrimage when the bus collided with the diesel tanker.
Arrangements are being made for family members of the victims to travel to Saudi Arabi to carry out the funerals. Congress minister Azharuddin, MIM MLA and another member of the minority welfare department will travel as a delegation to Mecca, Telangana government said.
A 24x7 control room has been set up at the Secretariat and the state government is in contact with Indian embassy in Riyadh to coordinate relief and provide information to the families of the victims.
