According to the tentative CBSE date sheet 2025, the CBSE Class 10 exams will be held from February 17 to March 9, 2026. The Board will conduct the CBSE Class 12 1st exams from February 17 to April 9, 2026. The CBSE Class 10 2nd examination will be held between May 15 and 29, 2026.
New Delhi: The wait for CBSE board exams 2026 is over. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the tentative examination schedule for board examinations 2025-26. It has released the CBSE 10th, 12th date sheet 2026 for the main examination of classes 10 and 12, sports students of class 9, the second board examination of Class 10 and supplementary examinations of Class 12.
According to the CBSE date sheet 2026, the exam authority will be conducting CBSE Class 10 written exams from February 17 to March 9, 2026. The CBSE Class 12 written exams will be held between February 17 and April 9, 2026. The CBSE 10th 2nd examination will be conducted from May 15 to 29, 2026.
The CBSE has released an official notice saying that approximately 45 lakh candidates are expected to appear in 204 subjects across Classes X and XII from India and 26 countries abroad.
The notice reads, "Alongside the conduct of examinations, several other activities such as practical, evaluation, and post-result processes will be undertaken to ensure timely declaration of results. To facilitate effective planning and execution of responsibilities by all stakeholders, CBSE has decided to release tentative date sheets for the following examinations, based on registration data of Class IX and XI for the year 2025."
