UK’s University of Liverpool starts Bengaluru campus admissions; inaugural session from 2026

Bengaluru: The University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom has begun the admission process for its new Bengaluru campus located in Alembic City. Admissions are open at the University of Liverpool's Bengaluru campus for the 2026 commencement cohort.

Aspirants can choose from an initial academic portfolio including Computer Science, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Biomedical Sciences and Game Design, a first for the UK campus in India.

This year, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan formally handed over the Letter of Intent (LoI) to the University of Liverpool on May 26, 2025. The varsity has become the second UK university to set up its first Indian campus in Bengaluru. 

Liverpool's Bengaluru campus is scheduled to open in 2026 with a state-of-the-art, 360-degree new learning environment. Students will witness smart classrooms, case-based teaching, and flipped classroom methods and industry interaction. Students will also benefit from specialised laboratories, which help to gain hands-on learning.

Lucy Everest, Chief Operating Officer at the University of Liverpool, emphasised how the University's India campus aligns with India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Lucy said, "It has been a pleasure to spend time in Bengaluru and Mumbai this week, meeting educators, alumni, and applicants who are excited about the University of Liverpool arriving in India." 

"We are looking forward to welcoming our inaugural cohort of talented students in 2026 and providing them with an exceptional learning experience that strengthens their skills and employability. Alembic City is the perfect place to realise this vision, and our new campus will provide our students with the very best facilities to support their learning journey with us," Lucy added. 

Interested students who aspire to be a part of the inaugural cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students in August 2026 must kick-start their registration process through the official portal at bengaluru.liverpool.ac.uk. It is advised to refer to the course and get familiar with all admission guidelines before kick-starting the registration process.
